MERIDEN SCOOP: Avanti Ristorante closing

Avanti Italian Ristorante & Lounge in Meriden will be closing their doors at the end of October.

The restaurant is located at 34 River Road in Meriden. The upscale Italian restaurant served typical favorites including pizza, eggplant parm, chicken parm, pasta fagioli, and much more.

Avanti posted on their website the following statement: "It is with great sadness we announce that we will be closing our doors on October 31st 2024 due to the sale of the building. We have loved serving you over the last 17 years and thank you for your continued support and dedication. Please redeem all gift certificates by October 31st 2024.
