BIG SCOOP: Chuck E Cheese Parent Company launching new prototype in Trumbull!

A new arcade concept by Chuck E Cheese is coming to Trumbull Mall!

Fun Spot Arcade is coming soon to Unit #185 on the first level of the mall. The arcade will be owned by CEC Entertainment, the parent company of Chuck E Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza. The new arcade will be 3,345 square feet in a long vacant space; last occupied by a beauty supply store. The new concept will be separate from Chuck E Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza, no branding from either restaurant will be attached to this project. They will open their doors this Friday, September 6th!

The CEO of CEC Entertainment, David McKillips, said in a exclusive statement to The Connecticut Scoop: 'Funspot Arcade is a unique direction for us. It’s an exciting opportunity to expand beyond games for kids and offer experiences that appeal to a broader audience, including teens and young adults. At Funspot at the Trumbull Mall, we’re bringing the newest games and the freshest experiences to create a vibrant atmosphere for all ages. We can’t wait to introduce this new concept to our guests in Connecticut, this coming Friday, September 6th!”

CEC Entertainment, the parent company of Chuck E. Cheese and Peter Piper Pizza, is the world’s largest purchaser of arcade games and equipment, supported by the most skilled technical teams in the industry. This new Funspot Arcade concept leverages these strengths to bring dynamic gaming and entertainment experiences to different locations, like malls, hotels, and airports.

The company is investing over $140,000 on the build out of the space. Mall management describes the arcade as 'all-new entertainment experience designed for kids, teens and young adults and packed with the latest video games, classic favorites and cutting-edge interactive attractions'
